If SIGs are being formed under ARL, will those who are not ARL members be able to participate?

I apologize for leaving that impression during the FOLIO Developers Forum on July 27th; that is not what I had intended. One example special interest group (SIG) that we looking to create is on accessibility, and it could be formed in collaboration with the ARL Joint Task Force on Services to Patrons with Print Disabilities. All FOLIO SIGs, including this one on accessibility, would be open to participation from anyone – not just ARL members.

Question asked in response to the FOLIO Developers Forum on 27-July-2016.

Further, we should say that SIGs seek advocates such as the ARL Joint Task Force on Services to Patrons with Print Disabilities. We wish to engage committed groups, organizations, and individuals in thinking about, learning, understanding issues, and for developing solutions. Organizations such as the ARL group will nominate themselves to participate with SIGs because of their advocacy, but this would not be an exclusive arrangement. There are opportunities for all to participate. And I think that the ARL group would welcome and even recruit others to this concern.
