Complete question from the July 27th Developer’s Forum: How easily deployable will okapi itself be? I’m thinking about easily starting okapi on my local dev machine, and automated CI integration.
The developers at Index Data are writing code in just such an environment: a self-contained local environment in Docker where code can also be pushed into a cluster of Amazon Web Services EC2 instances. At the point when we open up the code repositories there will be functional but limited tooling for continuous integration platforms, and this is an area that we anticipate will be expanded upon as more institutions with different needs come onto the project.
